Elmers Court Wedding Photography

Abi & Jason’s Elmers Court Wedding Photography, Lymington.

Abi & Jason were to be married on a very sunny Thursday in August. I headed off from Bournemouth early in the morning, taking a scenic route through the New Forest. I was enjoying the drive through the countryside until I suudenly found my road closed, I had to take a convoluted detour. Fortunately I’d left early so still managed to arrive at Elmers Court bang on time. I bumped into the lovely Tasha Parker MakeUp Artist as she was leaving in her car, if she’s off already then the girls must be ahead of schedule.

I found Abi and her entourage in one of the large apartments, she was almost ready to put on her dress. Abi seemed very relaxed, which is always great to see. I captured a few images of the goings on, the dress being buttoned, and the girls together, before heading off in search of the groom.

The Ceremony

Walking the short distance to the rear lawn, I discovered everything ready for the wedding. The ceremony would be outside, so the glorious sunshine was a very welcome guest. The guests  chatted together excitedly. Jason looked the part and was outwardly calm, but I suspect he was more nervous than he looked.

We waited patiently for the bridal party to appear. The bridesmaids emerged onto the long path through the gardens, closely followed by Abi and her Father. Time for the main event. The ceremony was truly lovely. The perfect bride and groom, the perfect weather and the perfect location all resulted in the perfect outcome. A happily married man and wife.

Reception

The drinks were poured and the bouncy castle inflated, time for the fun to really begin. I climbed my trusty wedding ladder to grab a shot of everybody together, followed by a few smaller family groups. The bride and groom then joined me for a stroll down to the water’s edge for a few photos together. They kissed, they cuddled, and they smooched for the camera.

The Meal & Speeches

A short while later the guests were ushered into the dining room. Abi & Jason had lined up a bbq, and their family & friends were treated to an array of delicious food. I was fortunate enough to sample the fare, so can personally vouch for the excellenty BBQ’d food at Elmers Court. After dessert it was speech time. The usual suspects had their say, and then the bride joined in at the end to have the last word.

After the meal people moved outside for tea, coffee, and a bit more fun on the bouncy castle. Abi asked for a few photos at the front of the house, and then it was time for the first dance.

Abi & Jason were great to work with, a really lovely couple. I enjoyed my Elmers Court wedding photography, and I look forward to working there again soon.
